Welcome to the Department of Economics Accounting and Finance (EAF). The department is home to experts in Accounting, Finance, economics, Taxation, Investment analysis and Financial Markets. More than 2000 students are admitted in our department which is committed to fostering and stimulating a learning environment where students can better excel in their studies. The department is endowed with sufficient modern resources and infrastructures to cater for the training needs of students including modern buildings, classrooms, laboratories, libraries and online learning resources. The department uses highly qualified, certified and committed staff to provide quality training, research and consultancy to serve the important transport sector. In line with the vision and mission of the Institute, the department is committed to develop highly qualified graduates by utilizing demand-driven curriculum that equips students through a blend of theoretical insight and hands-on experience to equip them with the tools necessary to thrive in current and future labor market of which will be able to work efficiently and effectively on issues related to Accounting and Transport Finance.
The department has links to local professional boards such as the National Board of Accountant and Auditors (NBBA-T). Graduates from the Department of Economic, Accounting and Finance are guaranteed a variety of attractive career options. Our graduates can work as Accountants, Forensic Accountant, Cost Accountant, Tax Accountants/consultants, Auditors, Financial Analyst, Trade analysts, Trade Officers, Budget Analyst and they can further work as Business Development Officers/Managers, Business Analysts/Managers due to their special set of skills acquired throughout the course offered by our institution.
