The Directorate of Human Resource Management and Administration (DHRMA) is a key to human development at the Institute. DHRMA advises the Institute in matter related to recruitment, management and retention of best employees for the Institute to deliver efficient and effective services to the Public. It provides guidance and support for personnel actions, classifies positions based on duties and responsibilities, supports the collective bargaining process, directs effective employee-employer relations, administers workers’ compensation benefits at proper pay levels, and ensures a safe and healthy work environment.
The DHRMA has the mandate to plan, develop and manage human resources for optimal organizational performance and implement action on staff policies and regulations, provide efficient and timely core services, procure and manage human resources for all Faculties, Directorates, Departments, Centres and Units of the National Institute of Transport (NIT) to facilitate their smooth operations.
The objective of the Directorate is to create an atmosphere of trust, and support and promote professional growth as well as development opportunities for staff to allow the Institute to function optimally and realize its vision and mission.
