Welcome to the Faculty of Transport Engineering and Technology (FoTET). The main objective of the faculty is to oversee the development and review of all academic programmes to ensure the efficient provision of quality education in transport engineering and technology academic programmes. At our faculty, we are dedicated to nurturing an environment that encourages innovation, critical thinking, and excellence in transport engineering and technology. Through our diverse programmes, research and consultancy initiatives, we aim to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in today's dynamic world.
FoTET is privileged with lecturers who are highly committed to their job and our students are exposed to a wide range of theoretical and practical perspectives through core, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities. They benefit from high-quality facilities, including a well-equipped and state-of-the-art workshop, library and computer laboratories. Additionally, students attend two Industrial Practical Training sessions, which provide them with valuable hands-on experience in the industry. This makes FoTET one of the learning places in Tanzania and Africa where students are guaranteed to graduate with the knowledge, competence and skills demanded by the current labour market.
